Sally Adams brings unique legal and legislative experience to the firm. Prior to joining Sixkiller Consulting, she practiced law at a boutique firm in downtown Seattle, where she helped clients develop case strategies and advance litigation goals in state and federal courts.
Previously, she worked for Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA), where she focused on immigration policy at a time when both the Senate and House of Representatives were drafting comprehensive immigration reform bills. She gained keen insight into the world of congressional procedure and learned what shapes policy and legislation.
During law school, Sally worked at Seattle University’s immigration clinic, where she represented clients in mandatory detention. She pursued claims of asylum and relief pursuant to the U.N. Convention Against Torture, and successfully litigated a claim of withholding of removal.
“Not only did I fully grasp the complexities of the Immigration and Nationality Act, but I saw firsthand how politics in Washington shapes everyday lives and realized its vast implications on how we live.”
Before law school, she worked “across the pond” as a parliamentary researcher for a Member of the British Parliament, who went on to become the First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means and Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons. Before her time in London, she was an English teacher at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Sally graduated from Washington State University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her J.D. at Seattle University School of Law.
